Dedicate Yourself To Life Long Learning
A wise man once said "Invest more time in developing yourself than you do on your job"
Leaders are learners, and continuous learning is key to the 21st Century. In your field or in any field
My challenge for you this week is to commit to becoming a lifelong student of self-improvement.
Humans
have more ability and more intelligence than we could ever use if we were to
work on developing ourselves for the rest of our lives. We are far smarter than
we can ever imagine, there is no obstacle that we cannot overcome, no problem
that we cannot solve, and no goal that we cannot achieve by applying our minds
to any situation but our minds like our muscles only develop with use. There
are several keys to lifelong learning:
1) READ BOOKS: if you were to invest 30 to
60 minutes to read a book daily, you would read four books a month and about
fifty-two books a year. The average adult read less than one book a year. This
habit of reading well cultivated puts you above your peers in any field.
2)
LISTEN TO AUDIO PROGRAMS AND TEACHINGS: Especially in your car as you commute.
The average person sits in a car for 500 to 1000 hours a year. Turn your vehicle into a school in motion.
3) ATTEND SEMINARS AND TAKE OPPORTUNITIES
FOR TRAINING SERIOUSLY
As the global icon the late Nelson Mandela said "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
I
dare you to become a World Changer.
