PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) BURUTU LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA EXECUTIVE – “THE TIME IS ALWAYS RIGHT TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT ~ Martin Luther King Jr The Power of ONE …….. One Tree can start a Forest; One Smile can begin a Friendship; One Hand can lift a Soul; One Word can frame a Goal; One Candle can wipe out darkness; One laugh can conquer gloom; One hope can raise your spirit; One Touch can show you care; One Life can make a difference. Be that One Today. Whose interest is been served by this disobedience to an unambiguous Court Order?  It’s been almost Three (3) Months since the Court Directed that Sagbegha Korokorosei be sworn in immediately as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Burutu Local Government Area.  Who in the Peoples Democratic Party is that One that will stand to make a Difference by doing the Right thing?  Will you be that ONE? Sagbegha Korokorosei and all lovers of the Rule of Law and indeed posterity will et

IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO GIVE UP OUR PREJUDICES

PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) BURUTU LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA EXECUTIVE – IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO GIVE UP OUR PREJUDICES ~ Henry David Thorea It was Prof. Wole Soyinka who once said “The man Dies in him who keeps quite in the face injustice” The Nobel Laureate should know been an activist all his life. But this is not about activism nor is it a case of who is wrong, who is right. I have always maintained that while Inter – Party disputes can be sorted out in the Law Courts, Intra – Party disputes should follow the part of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) which in all intend and purpose will produce a win-win situation for both the Party and the Individuals Involved. Having gone to the Law Courts and obtained a Judgment after long and costly litigation, the best thing to do is to swear in the Winner Sagbegha Korokorosei. As Maya Angelou (May her Soul Rest in Peace) once said “I’m convinced of this: Good done anywhere is good done everywhere. For a change, start by speakin

PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) BURUTU LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA EXECUTIVE – STILL ON THE MATTER If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal." ~ Emma Goldman It seems that a section of those in Power in The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State are keen on laying credence to the thoughts of Emma Goldman. They want the world to believe that Voting changes nothing. Our Great Party's Code of Conduct stipulates the following: . Adherence to All Electoral Laws 1. Members, Aspirants, Candidates or Agents of the Peoples Democratic Party shall adhere to the provisions of the following:- i. The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; ii. INEC Laws, Rules and Regulations; iii. The Electoral Act, 2010; iv. The Party’s Guidelines for Congresses, Primaries and National Convention in force; v. The PDP Constitution; vi. The PDP Code of Conduct; Where is the adherence to the Laws when we impose candidates that never took part in a cong

PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) BURUTU LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA EXECUTIVE – WHY THE IMPUNITY? I read in the Vanguard of Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in page 46 this Caption “Burutu PDP Appeals to Muazu” In the story Mr. Asheta Oyabebefa a PDP Leader in Burutu pleads with The Party Charman Alhaji Adamu Muazu to intervene and prevail on the State Party Chairman Peter Nwaboshi to respect the COURT JUDGMENT IN SUIT NO: FHC/WR/CS/189/2013 in the warri Judicial Division. The question is should court judgments become the subject of pleading with people to prevail on others to see them actualized? Why do people disobey court orders? Why the Impunity? The noun,   impunity,  comes from the Latin roots  im-  "not" plus  poena  "punishment," a root which has also produced the word  pain . Impunity, then, is the freedom from punishment or pain. If someone has committed a punishable offense but does not have to fear punishment, he or she does it "with   impuni

PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) BURUTU LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA EXECUTIVE – WHERE ARE THE POLITICIANS WITH PRINCIPLES? “Seven Social Sins: Politics without principles, Wealth without work, Pleasure without Conscience, Knowledge without Character, Commerce without Morality, Science without Humanity and Worship without Sacrifice.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi “Having resolved issue No. 1 in favour of the Plaintiff (SAGBEGHA KOROKOROSEI), I will immediately answer issue No. 2 in the positive. And for the avoidance of doubt, the purported swearing in of the 1 st defendant (OGBEIBIRI KENNETH) by the 2 nd Defendant (PETER NWABOSHI) on the 1 st of October, 2012 as the Chairman of the 3 rd Defendant (PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY) for Burutu Local Government Area is illegal, unconstitutional and of no legal effect whatsoever and I so hold In fact, the mere fact that the inauguration of the 1 st Defendant (OGBEIBIRI KENNETH) took place on 1 st October, which is a Public Holiday Nationw

PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) BURUTU LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA EXECUTIVE – MATTERS ARISING

“Let the first act of every morning be to make the following resolve for the day:  - I shall not fear anyone on Earth.   - I shall fear only God.   - I shall not bear ill will toward anyone.   - I shall not submit to injustice from anyone.   - I shall conquer untruth by truth. And in resisting untruth, I shall put up with all suffering.”   ~   Mahatma Gandhi   PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) BURUTU LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA EXECUTIVE – MATTERS ARISING 10 th March, 2012, members of The Peoples Democratic Party in Burutu Local Government Area had a very Peaceful, free and fair congress with Segbegha Korokorosei emerging as Chairman of the Exco at the Council Area. However, as it has been in recent times and as far as interest groups go, some members of the Party who are highly placed in and outside Government and would have preferred an imposed candidate as against the display of true Democracy at the council area went on to delay the inauguration of the
