PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) BURUTU LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA EXECUTIVE – WHY THE IMPUNITY?

I read in the Vanguard of Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in page 46 this Caption “Burutu PDP Appeals to Muazu” In the story Mr. Asheta Oyabebefa a PDP Leader in Burutu pleads with The Party Charman Alhaji Adamu Muazu to intervene and prevail on the State Party Chairman Peter Nwaboshi to respect the COURT JUDGMENT IN SUIT NO: FHC/WR/CS/189/2013 in the warri Judicial Division.
The question is should court judgments become the subject of pleading with people to prevail on others to see them actualized?
Why do people disobey court orders? Why the Impunity?
The noun, impunity, comes from the Latin roots im- "not" plus poena "punishment," a root which has also produced the word pain. Impunity, then, is the freedom from punishment or pain. If someone has committed a punishable offense but does not have to fear punishment, he or she does it "with impunity."

Next to corruption, impunity perhaps is the worst vestiges of the military interregnum that we still experience in our Democracy. Do we agree with Josefina Vazguez Mota that “we have a circle of corruption and impunity that is too strong”?
Nilantha Ilangamuwa says “If you want to denounce impunity then you have to start with denouncing the impunity that the regime enjoys.”

One of the greatest minds of all time, Albert Einstein, has once said that “The world is a dangerous place not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing”, this way underlining the importance of active participation in processes that are taking place around you. I personally strongly agree with Einstein’s position.

We must take a stand against IMPUNITY and it begins with the resolve that the Court order must be obeyed
