Governments, Organizations and Individuals with hearts of Gold, who by Grace, hard work and determination had been privileged to be classified as wealthy are all in the bandwagon of empowering one group or the other. This had been on for sometime but the effect of such training is not felt because there is a missing link. We have not factored individual potential, gift, talent or ability in planning such programs. Participants mostly see such trainings as their share of the National Cake - especially when the Sponsor is the Government. This had been the reality with the exception of a few. It ought not to be so.

As we march towards 2019, it clear the ruling party is in disarray; The National Leader is quoted to have accused the National Chairman of undermining him and his efforts. His wife too is quoted to have said her husband was sidelined after the the successful elections of 2015. A Governor of a certain State is reported to have been suspended from the Party and the APC drama continues  The desperation of the Party is in an all time high after certain Letters were written. The powers that be understands that it will take more than Propaganda and Drama to sway people to retain them and their candidate in power come 2019 and they had been desperate to garner support for the party I see Reverend Chris Okotie's piece as one of those attempts to awaken support for the President and his sinking Party. And its such a shame that after almost Three years in office, the only thing Reverend Okotie could talk about is the President's anti corruption stance, the same thing ...

The Almighty God heard the cry of the Israelites, like He has heard your cry and sent a deliverer in the Person of Moses. After series of plaques they were finally released from bondage. What a Joy! They were going to the Promised Land – a Land flowing with Milk and Honey. “The shortest distance between two points is a straight line” according to the laws of geometry but because the ways of God are past finding (Romans 11:33) He sent them through a longer route (Exodus 13: 17 – 18) A journey that would have taken according to scholars between 11 to 40 days, lasted 40 years with many dead and only two adults of the age of 19 and above arriving at the Promised Land. Why did God do that?

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines fear as “To be afraid and worried”, “To expect or worry about (something bad or unpleasant) What is Torment? “Something that causes extreme physical and mental pain” - Merriam-Webster Dictionary Fear has the capacity to inflict physical and mental pain on the individual that harbors it. A Bible student will want to ask; Why then did the Bible say “The fear of the Lord is the Beginning of wisdom: ……………” ~ Proverbs 9:10A We can call this “POSITIVE FEAR” a reverence for God Almighty that makes you do the right thing, no matter the circumstance, like Joseph said “……..how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” it is this Godly reverence, a prioritizing of the relationship with the creator we call Positive Fear.
