THREE ELEMENTARY LESSONS GOVERNOR AMAECHI MISSED

It's official RT. HON. ROTIMI CHIBUIKE AMAECHI the executive Governor of Rivers State is NOT the Vice Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC. This had prompted a flurry of comments but one by ETHELBERT MBAMA caught my attention so I have reproduced it below:

There have been many surprises in this year's primaries and choices, but the biggest that will have a lasting effect is that of Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi. He is not smart, period!!! I like the guy for one thing, he may be brash but he says his mind, but when it got into his head, he lost control and didn't have a plan B. Check out Rochas, he had plan B, he even went after the big seat and got some decent votes. Amaechi like Atiku, ended up empty. Unfortunately, Atiku is better off because he was smart in his utterances, but Amaechi was abusive, insulting, etc. he even committed Treason when he dared about Parallel Government, his present immunity is what saved him.

This picture below reminds me a lot. Imagine after dancing Awilo Logomba, Azonto, Kukere, Shoki, Sekem and even danced Break dance, at the end, him oga (Tinubu), the CEO of APC come dust am choose another. Even he stylishly hosted the meeting at River State Lodge in Abuja, he still wasn't considered. The most pathetic part is that his House of Assembly allowed him access to funds. He funded and funded no show, now he is owing workers in Rivers State. I haven't heard him talk in the last few days, in fact, I expected him to be available for the press Release yesterday when Osibajo was being announced. This is a lesson to the people. If you must para, make sure you have plan B. Today, all other Governors have plan B. Ordinary Senate ticket no reach am sef.
Well, I wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance Oooooooo.

I have always maintained that Amaechi was his own worst enemy, he was driven by an insatiable hunger for power and blinded by greed.

THE LESSONS:

First Elementary Lesson: It's said that in Politics there are "No Permanent Friends, No Permanent Enemies. Only Permanent Interest" it seems Amaechi did not learn this elementary lesson in his almost sixteen years in politics, how unfortunate. Ethelbert Mbama spoke about his lack of plan B, not only did he not have a plan B, he also did not have an exit strategy. whatever happens after the Elections even if Buhari/Osibajo wins and that is a very long shot, Rotimi Amaechi is a loser. He did achieve the target he aimed to achieve and in the process had made many enemies within and outside his State.

Second Elementary Lesson: Another Elementary Lesson Amaechi missed is "Don't Put All your Eggs in One Basket" what was he thinking? that he can replicate the GEJ Phenomenon in such a short time? perhaps he forget that he comes from a region classified as a minority in the scheme of things? what gave him the Impression, the power blocks was ready for another Minority Vice President? Amaechi did not only put all his Eggs in one basket, if reports are anything to go by, he also burrowed Eggs to put in that basket.

Third Elementary Lesson: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" Amaechi had Hoped to move to the Aso Rock Villa as a Vice President come 2015, so in his desperation, he threw caution to the wind and attacked everything and anything that GEJ represented, he became the mouth piece of the opposition. In all these, it never occurred to Amaechi that he may be at the receiving end of these insults if his dream ever becomes a reality and nobody close to Amaechi - his wife, friends, colleagues, associates, Church Members, Community Leaders, etc - could call Amaechi to order.

CONCLUSION:
Such is the society we are bequeathing to the next generation. Once a man comes into  a position of power, he no longer listens to People or People no longer gives him or her advice and those who know the truth will rather keep shut or encourage him/her on the path to perdition just to maintain their daily bread. As Elder Godsday Peter Orubebe rightly pointed out 99% of followers are sycophants and the wise leader will do well to distinguish the 1% from the 99" perhaps it's time for Amaechi to take stock and look at where he missed it and retrace his steps, after all it's said "Blood is thicker than water"
