There is a popular saying that "You attract, who you are" so to attract anything you have to be that thing. The way you see yourself largely determines what you attract, if you see yourself as Powerful, Attractive, Peaceful, Committed, Holy, Tolerant, Cheerful, Loving, etc, these are the qualities you attract. There is a time worn adage "Show me your friends and i will tell you, who you are" 
After the death of Moses the Mantle of Leadership fell on the young protegee Joshua who desperately needed a formula for success in Leadership, verse Nine of Joshua Chapter one says; "Have not I commanded thee? (No 1) Be Strong and of a good Courage, (No 2) Be not afraid, neither (No 3) Be thou dismayed: for the (No 4) Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." (Emphasis mine)
the emphasis is on "BE" not "Do" or "Have" certificates are good and essential, having the right connection is a big boost but all that pales into insignificance when compared to who you are.

HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF?
A Popular Minister of the Gospel said back in 1984 that "He will consider it a demotion, if he was invited to be President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria" because he saw a "Picture of his future"
even though the total income of the Church as at that time was about Sixteen Thousand (N16,000) Naira in One Year. Today, Prosperity is the identity of the Servant of the Almighty God.
Proverbs 23:7 says "As a man thinks in his Heart, so is he" to get the kind of Life you envision please Change the way you think. How?

PRACTICE CONSCIOUS POSITIVISM

The negative circumstance or events need not dictate your reaction and attitude. Consciously see everything working for your good. When you Change the way you interpret events in your life, the results change as well. Even when everything you see around you is screaming negativity, be positive, if it is difficult to be positive, fake it. A wise man once said "If you pretend long enough, one day you will wake up and find out you are no longer pretending" a local proverb says; "If you use leaf to wrap soap for a long time, even the leaf becomes soap" the secret therefore is to fake being the soap until you become the soap. But first you must know who you are for you "to be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else"

We have often been given the impression that the circumstance is to blame for the outcomes in our lives, and so we blame everyone and everything but ourselves. By doing that we unconsciously give control of our destinies to others and our circumstance. The only Akpos joke I have read that he did something positive was one he was said to have consulted an herbalist to foretell his future. The herbalist brought a millipede and drew two circles on the ground one dark, the other white saying; if the millipede moves into the white circle you have a bright future, if the dark circle you will have a bleak future. The millipede was dropped and Akpos watched as the millipede moved slowly but steadily towards the dark circle. Just when the millipede was about to enter the dark circle, Akpos picked it up and dropped it into the white circle. The herbalist screamed why did you do that? Akpos replied, "I will not open my eyes and watch my destiny walk into the dark." Refuse to give others and the circumstances control of your Destiny.



It is ok to doubt what you had been taught to believe

THE KAIAMA DECLARATION ALMOST 16 YEARS AFTER ~ WHERE DID WE MISS IT  - Part 1 One of the best pieces of Declaration and one that changed the way the Ijaws were viewed by the Nigerian State is The Kaiama declaration. 11 th December, 2014 will make it 16 years since that Historical document authored by some of the best minds in the Ijaw Nation was made.
