ARE YOU ASKING WHY OR WHY NOT?

 If you have a curious mind, you are blessed. Those were the words my maths teacher said to my classmate years back. I did not comprehend the gravity of those words until recently, if you have a curious mind, you are blessed. indeed you are blessed if you have a curious mind




WHAT IS CURIOSITY?

 The Dictionary defines curiosity as a "Strong desire to know or learn something" The emphasis is on "STRONG DESIRE" the World as we know it today is shaped by men and women with unquenchable desire to know, to be more and to do more.

 AN INQUISITIVE MIND:

Two young American Students went to India on Holiday and their first morning they opened the window of their Hotel Room and looked out to see millions of people moving and going about their daily routines on barefoot, one of the students remarked "I have never seen so many poor people in the same place like this." The other student was thinking, "what if i can get a cheap shoe for this people" long story short, he went to a shoe designer to design a sandal that can be produced with rubber, he then went to a shoe manufacturer to have it manufactured and sent them to India. He eventually quite school to pursue his dream and ended up having a Big Shoe manufacturing Company, his friend who was with him on that trip completed his education and became his accountant. Remember the analogy; Is the Glass half filled or half empty? Perspective! They both saw the Indians on barefoot, one saw poor people, the other a business opportunity.

A DRIVING FORCE:

 It was Robert Kennedy who said "There are those who look at things the way they are and ask why ......... I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?"
That is the driving force of creativity, the curious mind keep dreaming and asking why not? that's why we now have the Airplane, The Telephone, Electricity, Cars etc. The same way the inventions of tomorrow will be the brain child of a curious mind.

THE KAIAMA DECLARATION ALMOST 16 YEARS AFTER ~ WHERE DID WE MISS IT  - Part 1 One of the best pieces of Declaration and one that changed the way the Ijaws were viewed by the Nigerian State is The Kaiama declaration. 11 th December, 2014 will make it 16 years since that Historical document authored by some of the best minds in the Ijaw Nation was made.
