DEAR POLITICIAN: BE THE LEADER YOU SWORE TO BE!
DEAR POLITICIAN: BE THE LEADER YOU SWORE TO BE!
WHO IS A LEADER?
“If your actions inspire
others to dream more,
learn more, do more
and become more,
you are a leader.”
~ John Quincy Adams
A good leader is a trailblazer, leading the way for others to follow. When you Inspire your followers to reach higher, Dream Bigger and achieve great things, You qualify to be called a Great Leader.
Has President Mohammadu Buhari and the APC been Inspirational in Leading this Nation? Analyst are of the opinion that PMB and APC failed in providing the needed leadership but are also doing a lot of damage to the psyche of future leaders. Any politician that fail to deliver on their electoral promises can blame the previous administration and it will suffice as performance. A State Governor who fails to pay salaries like Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is an achiever. How? Blame GEJ for his inability to provide quality leadership in Osun State, earn the applause of the Party and even be allowed to pick your successor. A very wrong precedent, if you ask me
All pretensions aside, three and a half years of Blame and excuses will only excite the shallow minded, the greedy and the gullible. The APC has gone ahead to demonstrate to Nigerians, especially the lazy youths that hard work does not pay. You can be an achiever like Ambode as long as the Interest of the party leadership is not served, you are shown the exit door. Painful.
Mark Twain in a letter to W. D. Howells, September 14, 1875 stated inter Alia; “In truth I care little about any party’s politics – the man behind it is the important thing” Many Nigerians share this view and are greatly disappointed in the outcome of the Lagos State Primaries and its predetermined outcome.
“If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.” ~ Dwight D. Esienhower, in a speech, March 6, 1956
Does that sound like the APC?
Let’s discuss!
