Whatever the internal bottlenecks may be, the leadership must realize that the Ijaw people are in no mood for excuses. We are hungry for direction, thirsty for purpose, and tired of administrative inertia. ​It is a painful irony that exactly 60 years after Major Isaac Adaka Boro led the 12-Day Revolution to demand a future for our people, we are stalling on the basic democratic process of choosing our own leaders.
