The Power of Kind Words

Kelly, 29, had reached a breaking point. Overwhelmed by everything happening around him, he made the painful decision to end his life.

He chose a location. On that fateful day, he took his bath, got dressed, and ate what he believed would be his last meal.

As he made his way to the bridge where he intended to jump, something unexpected happened. A young man crossed his path, greeted him warmly, and complimented his sense of style.

That simple moment changed everything.

Right there, Kelly paused. He reconsidered. He realized there was still something to live for—something worth holding on to.

A single kind word saved a life.

As Mother Teresa once said, “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”
