DEAR CEO, WHAT ARE YOU READING?

To Take The Lead, You Must Read!

“Until I feared I
would loose it,
I never loved
to read.
One does
not love
breathing.”
~ Harper Lee

What you don't know is robbing you. To make it worse you can never know what you are missing by what you don’t know. A wise man once said “There are no Mountains anywhere, every man’s ignorance is his Mountain”  the Holy Scriptures say “My People are destroyed for lack of knowledge”

The tactics of The Mafia Manager are only relevant for the industrial age? In the age of the industrial revolution, all you need is for the worker to show up in the industry and operate machine in automated manner and produce predicted results.

We are now in the information age where the worker does not only need to show up, he also needs to show up happy to be absolutely productive.

Please do away with the 48 Laws of power, the market place has changed long ago and only those reinventing themselves remain a class act in the market. To earn your lion's share in the market, you must change what you know. It's OK to doubt what you have been taught to believe.

The Machevellian principles as encapsulated in The Prince   that "it is better for the prince to be feared than to be loved" may be relevant in Florentine politics but certainly not in your business.
The Business of the 21st Century is built around people relationships and not business principles.

Those that would lead the market in the future are those that perfectly understand:
Creative Capitalism.
The one-minute Manager.
Emotional Intelligence.
Social Intelligence.
Blue Ocean Strategy.
Your Strategy needs a Strategy.
The psychology of persuasion.
Why Nation are poor and others rich.
The 8th Habit

The above mentioned are not just concepts but progressive business ideologies encapsulated in books. Most of these you can access absolutely free to download and read.

To take the lead, you need to continually read. To take the market you must not only decide the price but change the taste bud of the consumer by this you decide when they buy.

I submit that what you don't know, that the competition knows, is robbing you of your market share. Assumption, they say, is the lowest form of intelligence. It is absolute self delusion to assume that you can out perform those who know better than you.

The average person reads about two or three books a year but most CEOs and top executives read 4-5 books every Month. These are the gamechanders, the Path Finders, the Pacesetters, the Leaders.
If they are reading that much, then there are benefit in cultivating that habit. Ogaga Darlington Chukwudi's book "Make Reading a Habit" is a good start for the busy executive. It will not only Inspire and Motivate you to read but stimulate your quest for Knowledge, making reading a
habit.
How do you get the book? find out from his Facebook handle

You won’t disappoint your Maker!
