WHAT IS THE VALUE OF YOUR LIFE?

The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines Value as “To think that (someone or something) is important or useful.”
This is our working definition for these series. A wise man once said “Value attracts Value”

How you value something or someone determines how you relate with that person or how you put that thing to use.
Our working definition also suggest value is based on mindset, which is a function of the amount of information at your disposal about the person or thing

Sean Buranahiran told a moving story of a boy who went to his father to know the Value of his life. The father handed him a stone and asked him to take it to the market, he instructed him, if anyone asked the price, don’t say anything, just raise 2 fingers.

The boy went to the market and a woman was interested in buying the stone for her garden and asked the boy for the price, the boy did not say anything, but raised 2 fingers. The woman said $2? I will take it. The boy went to his father and said a woman wants to buy the stone for $2

The father asked him to take the same stone to a museum, instructing him to do the same thing. The boy went to the Museum and a man said I like to buy this stone, how is it? The boy said nothing but raised 2 fingers. The man said $200? I will take it. The boy went to his father and said a man wants to buy the stone for $200.

The father then asked him to take same stone to a Precious Stone Store and show it to the owner with same instruction. The boy went to the Precious Stone Shop and showed it to the owner, the owner exclaimed, this is a rare stone, how much are you selling it? The boy said nothing but raised 2 fingers the owner of the shop replied $200,000? I will take it.
The boy went to his father and told him the shop owner wants to buy the Stone for $200,000

The father then asked the boy, do you now see the Value of your life? It does not matter where you were born, where you come from, the color of your skin or how much money you were born into. It matters where you decide to place yourself, the people you surround yourself with and how you choose to carry yourself.

You may have lived all your life with a $2 mentality and surrounded yourself with people who saw your worth as $2. But everybody has a Diamond inside of them. Choose to surround yourself with People who see your true value and can see the Diamond inside you. You can choose to place yourself in the market or the Precious Stone Shop.

You can also choose to see the Value in others and help them see the Diamond inside of them.
Choose the people you surround yourself with wisely and that could make all the difference in your life.

You won’t disappoint your Maker!
