YOU AND YOUR STAFF: STAFF EXPECTATIONS


As an Entrepreneur, you probably know what you want from your employees, but do you know what your employees want?

We understand individual differences comes into play when deciding what employees want from their employers but studies show six things stand out in employee expectations in the work place. Here is the first on the list;

1) RESPECTFUL TREATMENT OF ALL EMPLOYEES AT ALL LEVELS:

Top on the list is Respectful Treatment. Every Employee wants to be treated with respect. It will take a lot of tolerance on the part of the employer to respect those who depends on him for their livelihoods. But trust me its well worth the effort.

Looking at our common humanity makes tolerance much easier. Gary Chapman said "Respect begins with this attitude: I acknowledge that you are a creature of extreme worth."

You will be doing yourself, your organization and your bottom line a world of good when you treat all with respect and you can take a cue from Albert Einstein; "I speak to everyone in the same way, whether he is the garbage man or the president of the university"

Now you know the first of what your employees expects from you. Have been the kind of CEO that respects the workforce?

KAIAMA DECLARATION - WHITHER THE STRUGGLE

THE KAIAMA DECLARATION ALMOST 16 YEARS AFTER ~ WHERE DID WE MISS IT  - Part 1 One of the best pieces of Declaration and one that changed the way the Ijaws were viewed by the Nigerian State is The Kaiama declaration. 11 th December, 2014 will make it 16 years since that Historical document authored by some of the best minds in the Ijaw Nation was made.
