STAFF EXPECTATIONS 3: BENEFITS


We often brag that our product or service will exceed Customer's expectations. In making that resolve we forget the people we are going to use to fulfill that pledge to the Customer - Our Workforce.

Charity they say begins at home, why not exceed the workers expectation and have them literally work their butts out to ensure customers expectations are met and exceeded?

The Third on the list of your workforce expectation is "BENEFITS" 

Henry John Heinz founded the H. J. Heinz Company in 1869 almost 150 years ago. According to Wikipedia the Company manufactures thousands of food products in plants on Six Continents, and markets the products in more than 200 Countries and territories. Heinz claims to have 150 number-one or number-two brands worldwide.

What is the strength of the Heinz Company? Staff Welfare Packages, Benefits outside the paycheck at the end of the Month. H. J. Heinz was one of the first few American Companies to introduce staff welfare facilities. The founder insisted that the Firm provided staff with Dinning Rooms, Locker Rooms, Dressing Rooms, Gymnastics, Swimming Pools, Uniforms, Free Hospital and Dental Treatments, Free Life Insurance and further Educational Facilities. The result was that very few people ever left the sprawling Heinz Empire. 

Are you surprised the Company rakes in a revenue of about US$26.232 Billion in their 2017 report with a staff strength of over 39,000. In line with the tradition of its founder, the company budgets $300 Million in strategic investment to improve capacities and people skills with $1.3 Billion budgeted to pre-fund post-retirement benefit plans.

THE KAIAMA DECLARATION ALMOST 16 YEARS AFTER ~ WHERE DID WE MISS IT  - Part 1 One of the best pieces of Declaration and one that changed the way the Ijaws were viewed by the Nigerian State is The Kaiama declaration. 11 th December, 2014 will make it 16 years since that Historical document authored by some of the best minds in the Ijaw Nation was made.
